Mobile Crafts in the Morning
Sometimes, you need a little Family Art time together.
These days more than ever, Izzy is really sticking by my side, and we’ve been looking for more and more things to do together. The best is when you find the perfect craft to do at home, and already have everything you need.
We’ve been releasing a lot of fun new downloads in the SS20 Activity Party, with the newest from Paper & Stitch! Brittni recently created a beautiful Mobile out of cardboard over on IGTV, and made us a printable inspired by it.
For my kids and I, art has always been a time to connect and be together, but also focus on ourselves. I always do the project too. The kind of engaged focus it fosters as well as creative experimentation has always been a joy to witness, as they explore the the nuances of different media and the problem solving
The mobile is easy to print out & for kids to cut up. We traced ours on to some extra cardboard, painted with acrylic paint, and attached with a little twine. We each did our own color palettes, and I think they came out really sweet. Izzy chose to do a rainbow, which turned into a nice color mixing class as well.
This project was so fun to do together, and very easy to do. Now we both have a new decoration for her room & my studio! Try to guess whose is whose.
